London’s stock market fell and oil prices rose this morning amid concerns about the risk of escalating tensions in the Middle East.
The FTSE 100 was trading 1 per cent, or 78 points, lower at 7,899 on the approach to midday in a sell-off that began on Wall Street and spread to Asian and European stock markets.
