Nick Gardner grew up knowing that he could be a principal, but it took him a while to actually want to become one.
His dad, Cleo Gardner, had been a teacher and principal at school districts all around the region, before the family settled in the Topeka area.
“I saw my dad go to work in a suit every day, and that really influenced me to see education as a path in which I could also become a leader,” Nick said.
